Job Description

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

To ensure the smoothness and efficiency of ICT systems and its related operations at KLIA - Terminal 1

 

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for overall operations of ICT systems facilities IT Operation Support unit by ensuring the availability and performance of system, equipment and peripherals as required.
  • To effectively troubleshoot and diagnose the causes of system failure under KLIA - Terminal 1 IT Support first level recovery responsibility.
  • To identify areas where KLIA - Terminal 1 IT Support subsystems can be improved or upgraded.
  • Responsible to be proactively involve in resolving recurrence problem and provide the best solution for operation to avoid any interruption. To be involved in other KLIA - Terminal 1 ICT subsystems implementation and other related issues.
  • Responsible for overall KLIA - Terminal 1 ICT subsystems structures and its performance involving integration to other TAMS subsystems.
  • Responsible for KLIA - Terminal 1 ICT Operations & Maintenance which includes performing operational support and system maintenance.
  • Work with Airline Handlers and Airport Operator to keep all operating procedures up-to-date.
  • Proactively involved in ICT development and implementation of transitional plans.
  • To undertake any related projects or tasks as may be assigned by Management from time to time.
  • Ensure the growth in personnel skills for subordinates and monitor overall responsibility on scheduling and human resource matters.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for IT commercial based services.
  • Monitor overall exercise for preventive and corrective maintenance on KLIA - Terminal 1 ICT subsystems.
  • To prepare and propose operational and capital budget.

  • Manages beyond area of control that contributes to overall system performance.

Skills

  • IT Operation and Maintenance experience.
  • To have a throughout understanding of operations systems support such as managing system availability, equipment performance and business continuity

Relevant Industries

EXTERNAL

  • Degree with minimum of 5 years relevant experience.

Education

EXTERNAL

  • Degree preferably with specialization in Computer Science / IT related discipline
  • Master Degree would be an added advantage.
